Mr. Scott D McGinley
Dear Friends and Family,
I’m taking on a tremendous challenge to help in the fight against AIDS, and I hope you will support me. I have started training for the XTERRA Trail Running World Championship, and I’ve made it a personal mission to raise funds for AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA). As I celebrate my 40th birthday in 2013, I am able to look back and realize how truly grateful I am to be blessed with great health, wonderful people in my life and the ability to help others. More importantly, I am able to look forward and realize that we can all make a difference! I am a fortunate man and I do not take these gifts for granted. Thanks Friends and Family for making the first 40 years of this life journey so awesome!!!
The XTERRA Trail Running World Championship is an off-road half-marathon being held on November 24, 2013 on the North Shore of Oahu in Hawaii. Along with a fantastic group of Team To End AIDS (T2) participants, I'll be running 13.1 miles along trails, up hills, through mud, amid spectacular scenery in the area where "Jurassic Park" was filmed. I'm training at least three days per week, because I want to do something that’s not only physically challenging for me, but also beneficial to APLA's clients. Official Team Training starts in July so anybody that is interested in joining the efforts to raise money and awareness, let me know and I will put you into contact with the awesome team organizers. All fitness levels are welcome and they are experienced in training people to complete endurance events. Weekly group training will be held on Saturdays throughout the Los Angeles area. Let me know if you want to join me!
Nearly 1.2 million Americans are now living with HIV, and 56,000 more will be infected this year! For over 25 years, APLA has provided food, home health care, and other services to thousands of people whose lives are affected by HIV/AIDS. Many of them are living in poverty and have nowhere to turn.
That’s why I’m asking you to help. Please join me in doing what we can to bring an end to HIV/AIDS. You can donate as little as $5 and or much as you like.
Please donate today by clicking on the button that says, "Donate Now". It's easy! Help me exceed my goal of raising at least $5,000 and make a difference in the life of an APLA client today. Donations are put to use immediately — so please, donate today!
Thank you so much for caring, and thank you for your support.
